Southern itinerary

Sample Itinerary - Journey To The South

Day 1 - Trogir
For your first night, the vibrant ancient walled town of Trogir with its magnificent cathedral and bustling port, will provide you with a choice of restaurants, ice-cream parlours, cafes and bars to taste the local way of life.
Day 2 - Bisevo, the Modra Spilja (Blue Grotto) and Vis
We set off from Trogir to the remote island of Bisevo. Renowned for its Modra Spilja or Blue Grotto, accessable only by sea. After spending the afternoon in a remote bay we head towards the island of Vis for the evening where island life can be seen at its best around the old town and the harbour, bristling with fishing boats and pleasure craft alike.
Day 3 - Pakleni Islands and Hvar
After breakfast we sail the short distance to the Pakleni Islands offering some of the most beautiful bays in the Adriatic. The yacht will anchor here to allow you to take full advantage of the crystal clear waters and to relax before the evening in Hvar. Noted as one of the prettiest towns on the Croatian coast, Hvar nestles between cliffs, its ancient buildings defended by the nearby castle. By night, this sophisticated exterior hosts some of the finest bars and clubs you will find anywhere on the coast.
Day 4 - Scedro and Korcula
We continue to sail south to the nearby island of Scedro where you can relax, sunbathe and take a light lunch. We then set sail for the ancient fortified town of Korcula, the birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo. There is time to explore Korcula's narrow medieval streets and visit the house in which Marco Polo was born, now a museum. Korcula provides a romantic setting for dinner in the evening.
Day 5 - Mljet and Dubrovnik
Leaving Korcula we travel further back in time to visit the mystical island of Mljet, now a national park. Here Odysseus was reputed to have spent 40 days enchanted by a mermaid, and looking out on this beautiful scenery it is easy to understand why - the many secluded coves and bays offer an exclusive spot in this natural haven. Later we set sail for Dubrovnik.
Day 6 - Elafiti and Ston
Today we explore the historic city of Dubrovnik during the morning. So much has been written about this pearl of the Adriatic that there is very little we can add. We then leave for a short swim in the Elafiti Islands before spending the evening in Ston.
Day 7 - Split
After breakfast on board the yacht we head to the ancient town of Split, famous for the palace of Roman Emperor Deocletian and its cathedral with the Peristil, where many live opera performances were staged. Once you have enjoyed all the sights the town has to offer, your host will arrange for your transfer to the airport for your flight home.
